Rural Development Services, in partnership with AgConsulting of South Australia, is providing training for ten regional agricultural service providers from across Australia, to improve their coaching and mentoring skills. Participants will receive training in communication, coaching, mentoring, leadership and decision making processes.  Following the September 2009 workshop (Melbourne) participants will have the opportunity to link with a coach/mentor or nominate to act as a mentor.  Rural Development Services will draw on the nationally recognised skills of trainers Jeannette Long and Sharon Honner for delivery of the coaching and mentoring workshop. This project is supported by funding from the Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry under its Australia’s Farming Future program.
