The key objective of the project is to explore the role of non-profit drivers in decisions about farm diversification. The secondary objective is to examine the role of broader social factors at the community level on decisions to diversify and the success of diversification.

The approach of this project is to conflate two separate streams of work i.e. the role of non-profit drivers for diversification at the individual level with a study of social factors supportive of diversification at the regional level.This research will examine both these dimensions and explore the relationship between them.  Further information about the project can be accessed from RIRDC website
