Project Officer

Current role

Jodie is a project officer in Rural Development Services (RDS).

Jodie is on the RDS team responsible for the delivery of Property Management Planning. Jodie’s role involves:

  • Project management
  • Workshop facilitation and organisation
  • One to one liaison with farmers
  • Co-ordinating delivery of farm maps

Jodie’s key interest is the social issues in agriculture which influences farming businesses’ natural resource management; profits; succession; and position within the wider agricultural and general community.

Jodie is keen to listen to farmers and help them make sense of the networks and opportunities which are available to them – and where future possibilities lie.

Experience

Jodie worked abroad from 1997 to 2005 primarily working on agricultural based development projects in Pakistan, Afghanistan and DPR Korea for a range of non-governmental organisations at both the grassroots and international level -including - Oxfam, CARE and Concern Worldwide.

Jodie has experience in: project management; non governmental organisations and government body liaison; and community development.
