Senior Consultant

Current role

Carla is currently a senior consultant with Rural Development Services (RDS).

Carla is responsible for the following areas within RDS:

• Social research in agriculture
• Natural resource management

Carla is interested in the social and institutional aspects of agriculture and natural resource management. People and organisations are the key to a sustainable future.

Experience

Carla has 20 years experience in applied social research, planning and policy analysis in the areas of natural resource management and agriculture. She has a particular interest in the interface between natural resource management and productive agriculture.

She has experience in and knowledge of social research methods, public consultation processes, project management and interdisciplinary research. She is a qualified strategic planner and has undertaken projects on sustainable agriculture, multifunctional issues in relation to open space and the intersections between landuse and catchment and water planning.
